Application Information
- All interested applicants must go through an
interview process in order to be accepted into the house. This
interview can be conducted either in person or over the phone with either
Scott or Sally Van Krevelen. During this interview the expectations,
requirements and workings of the "House" are described to the applicants
after which they are asked about their own experiences, aspirations and
goals. If the applicant's goal's match those of the "House" the
applicant will be offered a temporary placement at the facility.
Temporary placement acts as a probation that lasts 30 days at which time it
will be determined if this is a suitable placement for the applicant.
The main requirements that will be evaluated during this time will be the
applicants willingness to "Do What Ever it Takes to be Sober," and the
applicants' willingness to be a responsible part of the workings of the
"House."
- Members of the "House" are required to share
the responsibility
for government, cleaning, and maintenance of the residence while still either going to school,
volunteering, or working. Members of the "House" are required to participate in all
functions of the "House". Everything must take second place to recovery.
